About Berea Rotary
Rotary
International is the largest service organization in
the world with over 1.2 million members in 162
countries who contribute their time and money toward
the advancement of international understanding,
goodwill and peace. Rotarians are persons who look
beyond themselves to their community, nation and the
world.
The Berea Rotary Club undertakes a wide variety of
projects including awarding three 4 year college
scholarships annually to one student from the Berea,
Midpark and Olmsted Falls High Schools: supporting
Berea Flower Boxes; Church Street Ministries;
Clothing Drive; Thanksgiving Meal Program; Rotaract
Club; and the Southwest Community Access Network.
Funds to help support these programs are raised
through an annual Poinsettia Sale, Reverse Raffle
and Silent Auction.
Numerous opportunities are available for new members
to get involved in community programs as well as
those in Northeast Ohio and of a national and
international nature. Membership is by invitation,
and members are chosen to represent their respective
business or profession providing a cross section of
the Berea, Middleburg Heights and Olmsted Falls
Communities. Weekly meetings are held on Tuesdays at
6:30 PM at the B-W College Colony Room. Visitors are
welcome.
